Spring's breath and light
Are now forever lost!
Loki's cunning is unlimit,
The land immediately orphaned.

He dreamed to kill a Serene,
And this hour has come!
Baldur's dreams became true in reality,
And the tears of Asagods spilled:

Cunning Asagod found mistletoe,
He created the arrow and came
To blind Hod and said:
Take a bow and shoot forward.

Whistle of bowstring, nightmare of gods -
The Baldur's wound is bleeding!
And Vali revenged Hod -
Killed him on the spot.

But pain of the world is indifferent -
Loki don't know the compassion.
And now the kingdom of Hel, at times,
Will bathe with the Spring breath.

Hermodr didn't help Baldur,
He could not agree with Hel.
Forever the Serene is locked,
No one was able to save him.

Loki was convicted of his guilt,
And was chained to a rock.
And he groans, twisting his face,
Snake venom is his fate.

Centuries and Ragnarok will pass,
And Baldur will take the throne of his father,
And forgive Hod forever
And the beautiful world will be revived.

Коварству Локи нет предела,
Тотчас земля осиротела.

Убить Светлейшего мечтал,
И этот час теперь настал!
Сны Бальдра на яву сбылись,
И слёзы асов пролились:

Омелу хитрый ас нашёл,
Стрелу создал и подошёл
К слепому Хёду и сказал:
Чтоб, взявши лук, вперёд стрелял.

Свист тетивы, кошмар богов -
Из раны Бальдра льётся кровь!
А Вали Хёду отомстил -
На месте он его убил.

Но безразлична мира боль -
Не знает Локи состраданья.
Теперь и Царство Хель, порой,
Весны омоется дыханьем.

И Хермод Бальдру не помог,
Договориться с Хель не смог.
Навек Светлейший взаперти,
Никто не смог его спасти.

Был уличён в своей вине,
Прикован Локи был к скале.
И стонет он, скривив лицо,
Змеиный яд - удел его.

Пройдут века и Рагнарёк,
И Бальдр трон отца займёт,
И Хёда навсегда простит,
И мир прекрасный возродит.
